Nevada football coach Ken Wilson fired after 2 seasons – Reno Gazette Journal

After finishing 2-10 both of his two seasons as the Nevada head football coach, Ken Wilson was fired Friday.

His buyout dropped from $1.5 million to $1 million on Dec. 1.

Nevada will owe Wilson $27,778 in monthly installments until the end of his five-year deal, which is through Dec. 2026.

Wilson was hired by Nevada in December 2021 after previous coach Jay Norvell took the head-coaching position at Colorado State.
