2021: Named Big West Defensive Player of the Week…Appeared in and started all 19 games for the Gauchos…Totaled over 1,700 minutes…Earned eight net wins for UC Santa Barbara…Earned seven shutouts…Recorded eight total saves in a 2-2 tie at Oregon on September 3…Finished season with a 1.06 goals-against average…Recorded 74 saves and a .787 save percentage.
2019: Appeared in three games making one start as a freshman…Recorded first career win over UC Riverside after earning three saves on November 1…Recorded three saves in a 2-2 tie against UC Irvine in the regular season finale on November 3.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL: Smith came to UC Santa Barbara from Santa Clarita, California, having played club soccer from 2016-2019 for the Real So Cal Soccer Club at the US Soccer Development Academy (DA) under coach Chris “Ozzie” Osment. .. With his help , the team won the 2017 SURF Cup in the U17 DA women’s division… His best shutout streak of the season was 838 minutes, while he only conceded 0.17 goals per game. Made Real So Cal’s roster for the 2017 Elite Club National League (ECNL) Player Development Program (PDP)… The 6’0″ goalkeeper also played two seasons for Valencia High School in the Foothill League in the CIF Southern Section under head coach Kevin Goralsky.
