Alick Athanaze fought hard and scored 47 off 99 balls but the West Indies were unable to come up with a competitive first innings total and were bowled out for a paltry 150.
In the early innings, the Indian starters seemed intent on giving India a huge lead. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored centuries and made 103 and 171 runs respectively to help India pass the 400 run mark and they finished on 421 for 5, taking a 271 run lead.
During the second innings, the West Indies lost the first two matches on the cheap and were facing a heavy loss. Alick Athanaze again scored 28 runs, but he passed Ashwin. Indian bowlers especially Ravichandran Ashwin bowled exceptionally well. He picked up 7 wickets as the West Indies were bowled out for 130 runs. India won the match easily by one innings and 141 runs.
